Aldens in the City is a great bistro & deli on Callendar St, Belfast and is a new addition to the infamous Aldens of Ballyhackamore, one of the best destinations for eating out in Belfast. Alden’s owner, from Belfast has had a family background working in the catering industry from an early age and trained as a chef with Leith's of London before opening Aldens in 1998.
The fit-out began with stripping the existing fittings that were remaining from the previous tenant and liaising with Building Control NI to ensure that the fit-out met their exacting standards. A ramp was installed at the entrance, the doorways were widened, the bathroom was re-configured and a disabled toilet was installed in order to allow for disabled access and comply with DDA regulations. The entrance floor was completely re-tiled and new lighting was installed. ALD Fit-Out manufactured and installed the bespoke takeaway counter, mesh shelving, tables and chairs.
